I am incredibly honored to receive the Talent Award of Korea 2024, a recognition that celebrates dedication, perseverance, and innovation in research and beyond.
SLAS Innovation Award 2024
Most prestigious award at the SLAS conference (7500 attendees and 400 exhibitors), recognizing the work behind one exceptional podium presentation. I was as one of only two student finalists, competing against a field of seasoned professors and post-doctoral fellows. I was lucky to be 4th student to receive this award in its two-decade history.
Best Oral Presentation Award in 19th CSL 2024 Student Conference
I got the best award in Computational Biology and Healthcare Session in recognition of my exceptional content clarity, technical depth, and engaging delivery.
Outstanding Oral Presentation with travel awards in the 6th GradBMES 2023 Bioengineering Graduate Student Research Symposium

Invited participant to attend the 2023 Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) as an Institutional Representative of UIUC
The summit was hosted by Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore. Jongwon was selected as one of the poster presenter.

LADIS(LAMP WATER DISINFECTION)
SODIS(Solar water infection) takes a long time to disinfect and has the restriction of weather. To overcome these problems, We invented ‘LADIS’ which means ‘Lamp water disinfection.’ We took its name from SODIS and switched ‘Solar’ as ‘Lamp’.
